About Kevin Micks Carpet
Serving Chicagoland for over 35 years
My name is Kevin Micks. I was born and raised in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago where I met my wife of 35 years and raised my 5 children. This is my home and I’ve been selling and installing carpet all over the Chicagoland area since 1978 based entirely on the word-of-mouth referrals of Chicago community residents. While local businesses have slowly been displaced by the big-box stores, I still believe in the power of Chicago communities to support skilled, locally-based businesses, such as Kevin Micks Carpet, that provide customer service the way it used to be and are directly invested in the local economy.
I believe in simplicity. New carpet transforms a worn-looking room into a fresh one, but there is no reason that getting new carpet should be complicated. I won’t make promises of “buy one room and get a second free” because that’s just a clever marketing scam. I won’t make claims of “free installation,” because these companies simply hide the added cost into the carpet you buy. The price I quote you will be fair and all-inclusive. There will not be any last minute add-ons, delivery charges, or mystery fees because that is frustrating and just bad business practice.
Don’t mistake simplicity for a difference in quality. Unlike the big-box stores, I sell only the top quality brands in the carpet industry, including: Shaw Industries, Mohawk Industries, and Beaulieu of America. All made in the U.S.A. You will also receive top-notch customer service. If you have a question, just give me a call and you will talk to me, not a recording. Finally, while the big carpet shops benefit from hiring inexperienced installers so that they can pay them low wages, you can have confidence in my 35 years of experience in carpet installation.
I am personally invested in your satisfaction because I don’t have expensive advertising teams or marketing strategies. I have satisfied customers who pass along my name and business card to friends and neighbors as they have for over 35 years now. Besides, I would much rather watch the Blackhawks on their way to another Stanley Cup than to think of new ways to squeeze a couple extra bucks out of my neighbors and fellow Chicagoans.
I look forward to working for you,
